57. Herb Garden - mid summer
I planted these herbs out in May when the weather was too cold for them to establish. The last few weeks of sun have helped them settle in, and they are starting to put on new growth and flowers. The colours of the leaves and the purple flowers on the thyme are beautiful.
The rows are (r to l): garlic chives, creeping thyme, chives, sage, more chives, marjoram and oregano, lemon thyme, curry plants and feverfew. To the back and side of the paved section are creeping rosemary and lavender plants. Apart from some light weeding, these herbs will just do their own thing.
